This half term's learning!
Children will be learning key spelling, grammar, punctuation skills throughout the term alongside developing their writing composition.
This will be done through the use of the key text 'The Spider and the Fly'.
This term Year 5 children will be continuing with Singapore Maths, taught by Mrs. Bethell.
Year 6 children will be developing their knowledge of measurements, shapes, statistics and beginning to prepare for the SATs in May!
Do all animals and plants come from eggs?
This half term we will be looking at living things and their habitats. Children will describing and comparing lifecycles; describe the process of reproduction in animals and plants and create a timeline that indicates stages of growth in humans.
The Industrial Revolution
This half term we will be looking at the industrial revolution and the impact it had on Britain. Children will be learning about inventions, discoveries and the change of the population, healthcare and work.
How can Brahman be everywhere and in everything?
We will be looking at Hinduism. Children will be learning about the basic beliefs of gods and goddesses, as well as looking at Mandirs and Shrines.
Our artist this term is L.S. Lowry, we will be looking at the impact the Industrial Revolution had on his landscape paintings.
